Mustangs Unlimited has a selection of gears or you can probably get
one from a Ford Dealer.
Do you have the right length cable? I believe the speedo port of the T-5 is
on the passenger side.
You may have to calculate the gear you need unless someone has already done
this same swap and has the same tire size.
There is a number on the face of the speedometer usually 980 which
is the revs per mile the speedometer is looking for. You start with the
circumference of the tire and calculate rev/ mile back through the 3.31
gears to the transmission. You also need to know the number of teeth on
the speedo drive gear in the transmission.
Driven gear teeth(gear on the cable) = (drive gear teeth X Axle ratio X tire
rev per mile) / 1000

Subject: Speedo cable drive gear
Hi Listers,
Well so far I have made my own alternator mounting bracket and rear axle
rubber snubbers for the Tiger. More progress every weekend!
Now I have my T-5 installed and need to know if anyone out there has the
part # or the teeth count for the cable drive gear. I have a S-10 tail
housing and my diff gear ratio is 3.31.
Thanks in advance.
