I don't know how many pure street miles to expect...I've run the Victoracers
in open track and autocross (on my old '02 Mustang GT, 275/40-17 on a much
heavier car), with street mileage limited to driving to and from events. To
answer the question the best I can, I will tell you I got 6 track weekends, 3
autocrosses and about 1800-2000 miles out of my last set.
I will say they wear very well for a DOT R tire...I will also say that I
would not recommend them as a daily driver, unless you are willing to live with
their "issues". They have some tread, but don't do well with deep, standing
water (they are surprisingly good in damp conditions, however). Once up to
temperature, they will throw gravel and small rocks up into the fenderwells
and
lips. The ride is very rough, with a tendency to tram line very badly (at
least in my application). Also, DOT R's tend to be susceptible to cuts and
punctures, in a street environment.
If you are looking for a tire which will be OK to drive around town and have
an orientation towards autocrossing or track events, go for it. I know many
of us in the Tiger community have run R's exclusively for years. You might
also investigate the Yokohama A032 and the Toyo Proxes RA-1, if you are
seriously considering going in this direction. Of course, the Kumhos are a lot
cheaper, the best bang for the buck in a track tire out there :-)
