| This article was much discussed on racer listserves when it was first
published a few years ago.  Not everyone was convinced - including several
guys who turned disks as part of their living.  I think I was convinced even
before seeing this article, but I don't remember where I saw it.
A buddy of mine who runs a Cobra Daytona Coupe replica on the track was
complaining about juddering under braking a couple of months ago.  I
confidently explained exactly what was happening.  He replaced his pads,
turned the rotors, and still had the problem.  We jacked up the car, and
found a loose tie-rod.  There's lots of explanations out there.
