Watch what you do with the rear bumper bolts. The rear
bumper brackets bolt to a bracket that is tack welded to a frame extension
inside the rear valance. The nut the
bracket bolts to is like large half of a muffler clamp.
The nut is in the middle and the ears are welded to
matching ears. The problem is that the gas pipes runs
inside the hole formed bybthe two pieces. Break the
welds and now you risk rupturing the gas pipes. Fixing
the welds involves removing evrything from the trunk
including the gas tank. Nobody wants to weld next to
gasline.
