After going through our ballots for vote decision time, and seeing what
happened to our previous older vehicle exemption act, I have a few
MODEST proposals that should be on the state ballots for all those
states fortunate enough to have empowered the people to initiate binding
law changes.
Proposition AAA: Air Quality Improvement Act.
A yes vote on this proposition would require all cars authorized to use
roadways funded with public funds to remove the pistons and connecting
rods that exceed the number of road wheels. The number of road wheels
allowed on the highway shall not exceed 4, regardless of the number of
axles.
Commercial vehicles under 2,000 pounds gross vehicle weight, and cars
made for model years prior to 1967 are exempt from this regulation.
Proposition BBB: Parking Lot Safety Measure.
A yes vote on this proposition would require all vehicles that exceed 5
feet at the highest point on the body, including accessory extensions,
shall be reduced to meet the 5 foot requirement. This assures
visibility of surrounding vehicles, and operators of such, that are
parked alongside non conforming vehicles, be given a fair chance to
enter and leave their parking space without endangering pedestrians and
other vehicles.
This law applies to all commercial property and municipal parking lots,
and does not restrict an owner of a non complying vehicle from keeping
it on their own contiguous property, providing there are no liens,
loans, or delinquent taxes on said property.
Removed vehicle parts must be disposed of in accordance with local
hazardous material requirements.
Proposition CCC: Car Speed Safety Tests
All vehicles licensed for public road use must demonstrate the
capability of exceeding 100 MPH on a straight dry highway at least once
every 5 years. Every 10 MPH in excess of this requirement will extend
the retest time by 3 years and the owner shall be awarded a compensation
of $750 per mile per hour in excess of target requirements, adjusted by
COLA (Cost of Living Adjustment) annually.
Well, anyone can propose anything.
Any co-signers out there?
