I believe you can easily change the seal with the trans in the car.
I have not done it that way so hopefully others will verify that it can be
done that way.
I suggest you pull the old seal out first and check to see if the
drive shaft is warn at the seal surface; if not buy a standard seal and
install. Be sure to lube the seal surface before installing.
If there is a groove warn in the shaft buy a rear seal for an
automatic trans; that will move the seal surface on the shaft.

Has anyone changed the rear extension seal on the transmission. The seal is
leaking on my 67 Tiger, it looks like I can change the seal with the trans
