Erich, You describe "soft" as needing pumping up, which sounds more like adjustment. How about the rear brakes? They may need bleeding and If you still have drums, they may need adjustment. If the shoes or the emergency cable are hanging up the pedal travel will vary. Air will not get sucked past the seals in the caliper when the pressure is released. If the seals and cylinders were that pitted, you would have some bad leaks. John Logan |
