I installed my new Derale fan #17015 by shimming the
engine up about 1/16 inch and using 1/2 inch spacers
(basically short steel tubes on each bolt) from ACE
hardware between the fan and the pully. Everything
lined up great. I decided to flush the system. The
fan was cooling so well that I had a hard time
getting the engine up to operating temp in my garage.
A little cardboard in front of the radiator fixed
that. 10 minutes into the flushing cycle and my water
pump became Niagra falls. Go figure......
Now it all comes off again.
