Simple. The weight of the engine spread the arms of the frame just enough so the 4th bolt won't go in. Make sure the other 3 bolts are loose. Place a 2x4 on the pan and jack the engine just enough to take some weight off. Now you can insert the 4th bolt. Been there done that. Make sure you remove the jack before drive the car.
