Per,

Here's a little more information that may help. It's probably a good idea to
check the wheel bearings and, if they look OK, then remove all the old
grease and re-grease them. Lithium based grease is best, but don't mix
lithium and sodium based greases.  That's one reason why all the old grease
should be removed. After cleaning and repacking the outer and inner
bearings, torque the hub nut to about 2.5 kg-m, continuously turning the
wheel as you tighten. Then back off one full flat (1/6 turn) of the nut and
install a new cotter pin.

The give you describe rocking at the 12 & 6 positions may be from other
causes than the wheel bearings; e.g., fulcrum pins or ball joints. The lower
ball joints are very prone to wear on a Tiger, since they bear the load of
the wheels. I haven't checked the availability of lower ball joints
recently, but they are sometimes hard to find. Good luck.
