Tigers and 'Pines,
This is truly an historic week ahead, with the Monterey Historics race
event that has 5 Sunbeam Tiger race cars selected to compete. This is
remarkable, as entry is restricted to REAL race cars, and only selected
models. Having 5 of the same make is a remarkable achievement.
TigersUnited.com had started preparing a "Event Countdown" article, with
background information on the event, every entrant/owner and every
driver. It was intended to publish the historical data on the cars and
drivers, as well as the progress towards race preparation, as it
occurred, then the final results.
Well, as "Bobby Burns" said, the best laid plans.......
So, despite picking the best team of correspondents and eager drivers,
small details like actually preparing the car for the race seemed to get
in the way of reporting. So - be flexible. We have decided to publish
what we have, to date, and update it as the info comes in. Eventually
it will be complete with results and excuses (9--)
Honestly, these are our best cars, owners and drivers, and we hope you
will read this editorial draft (a large policy change) as it develops.
