"Clean Dan" just posted a valuable question on why there is a "Forum" on
the http://www.TigersUnited.com web site.
He states that he does not see real "Forum-Like" running comment, and
could not define the purpose.
Stu Brennan rightly points to the Tiger List as the real-time source for
real-time answers.
I thought that a repeat of the original purpose of the TigersUnited
Forum might be in order, again.
Here is the reply that was originally posted on the Forum, and repeated
for Dan, and others. It is the same rationale used when the area was
created, a warehouse for previous answers to important questions that
you did not know you had yet, and now can't find the original post by
two (or many more) other people.

The Tiger List is a wonderful communications system. Unfortunately, the
information is transient in nature. If YOU don't have the problem being
discussed, it is of little interest at the moment.
The very minute you do, you cannot find that old e-mail that answered
the question, so post it anew. A few get tired of answering the same
question multiple times, and just pass.
This Forum was created to COPY and PASTE the original question, and the
definitive answer, in an organized manner. It cannot replace the List,
nor was it intended to.
It is EACH members responsibility, whether he be the originator of the
question and received an excellent reply, or a respondent tired of
repeating himself.
THIS is the place to COPY/PASTE the list question/answer for the NEXT
one who needs it, rather than start the list cycle again.
Think of it as a real-time "Tech Hints" do-it-yourself file book that
you do not have to pay for.
