195/60/13 is a small tire. Diameter of 22.3", which is about 1" less than
the original size of 165/78/13 (diameter 23.3). The 215/50/13 have a
diameter of about 21.5. It seems unusual to have a smaller diameter tire on
the rear than the front. It's more common to use a 205/60/13 (diameter
22.84) on the rear.
I am sympathetic to your desire to even out the track; I ended up fixing the
problem by ordering wheels with different front and rear offsets.

Subject: time for new tires
Anybody think that a set of 215/50/13s will fit on my LAT-70s and inside
the rear fenders? I was thinking of getting those for the rear and
195/60/13s for the front. I would like to try and even out the
appearance of the track a little and have a bit more traction on the
drive wheels.
