This is a cut and paste of an email I got from Dr. Tym McDowell on this
subject:
Randall,
First let me apologize for the untimeliness of this response. I've been away
for the past two weeks and just returned
I'm using a Canton 90 degree billet remote oil filter adapter. It's a
handsome piece and solved my problems (Canton Racing Products #CA-22595).
I tried several other "solutions" that didn't work prior to going to a local
speed shop. Hope this infor helps. Let me know if I can provide any other
help/assistance.

Check Canton, Pegasus, racerpartswholesale. Lots of folks have these.
Probably a decent parts store down the street? I know Canton has a couple
in their catalog.

Subject: Remote Oil Filter Block Adapter
I have all the remote oil filter assembly parts except, apparently, the
adapter peice that mates up to the Engine Block. This is noted as Rootes
#1224766 "Adaptor - Hoses to Engine (Motor)" in the Rootes parts manual.
Anyone know if these are available somewhere: NOS, Used, or Reproduction?
I see some aftermarket versions out there, but none look like they would
work with the stock remote filter lines.
Thanks
