Bob, but what I don't understand is why does the smaller motor make more
power than the bigger motor at the SAME RPM at the high RPMs? My
simplistic thinking would be that the bigger motor should make at least
as much power as the little motor at a given RPM assuming you ignore the
friction losses. I do not understand how your approach accounts for
apparent loss of CFM of the big motor at a given RPM in the high range.
Shouldn't the bigger motor be moving more air and therefore be making
more power than the smaller motor at 8000RPM for instance? Even
assuming the intake track has much earlier reached max CFM it still does
not account for the reduction I see in the big motor.
There has to be some pumping physics to explain this, no?
