Tod, you're right. All these tachs came from the same place, and all have the
same problems - once the capacitors crack or a transistor fails, the tach works
poorly or not at all. The replacement circuit board developed for the Tiger can
be used in any of these other tachs as well. The replacement board also gives
you the option of running a voltage-triggered tach, which is necessary if
you're using MSD, Jacobs, or any other multi-spark or distributorless ignition.

The installation of the tach board is documented on my webpages:
http://members.shaw.ca/tsmit/tachmod/tachmod0.html - one of the links points
back to a log of my earlier efforts.

That page says the prices are TBD, but I'll shortly be adding the following
prices to the page:

Bare circuit board: $15
Kit including all components: $55
Built-up and tested board, ready for you to install it in your tach: $80
Tach rebuild, including the new board and calibration: $150

The boards and rebuild service will be available through Tom, myself, and a few
others, once Tom gets back from his vacation. I currently have ten boards that
I'm building up and then I'm doing another circuit board fabrication run.

Regards,
Theo Smit
