Hi Andy,
You can get wheel spacers at most any place that sells wheels. Most of them
have several hole patterns, one of which fit a Tiger. The rule of thumb on
nuts and studs is to have an engagement of at least 1.5 times the stud
diameter. For a 7/16 X 20 inch stud, that would be at least 11/16 inches, or
13 1/8 threads. I would recommend at least one inch or 20 threads.
It's easier to find longer nuts than longer studs that have serration's that
are compatible with the hubs.
To make wheel installation easier, attach each spacer to the wheel with two #
10 screws so that you don't have to try to align the spacer holes each time
while putting on the nuts. This also assures that the nuts aren't bottoming
out on an edge of a spacer, rather than the wheel, when you torque them up.
