Some holes

There are a set of holes on the wall at the front of the trunk that are
just to the drivers side (US) of the Alpine spare tire mounting.  There
is an Alpine on eBay right now with wire wheels that shows a knock off
hammer mounted in a bracket where these holes are.  Is that what these
holes were for?  Is there supposed to be hole plugs in these for the
Tiger?
