Malcolm,
For your safety, I would recommend that you not use tires wider than 185 on
those 5.5" rims. And, it would be especially bad to put larger tires on the
back than the front, which would further compromise stability. Discount tire
has the Yokohama AVID T4 in 175/70R-13 and 185/70R-13 online for $42 & $44
with free shipping. The tire is TR rated, which is good to 125 mph, and
treadwear 420. I would pick the 175's, but definitely no bigger than 185's.
