Erich, if you are using a crate 5.0L motor and the pedestal mounted
roller rockers, they fit under the LAT Tiger by Ford valve covers, but
you have to take out the oil baffle. There is a little grinding under
the valve cover, really minor, and then it fits with a single gasket.
You can now get a 345 hp crate motor for $3000. Hard to beat as opposed
to rebuilding a stock 260 or 289, especially if you have to do machine
work. This is with alum heads, which you would have to paint black to
fool anyone. Of course after you blow their doors off, they might
question your integretary about being a stock 260.
