You didn't mention your symptoms, or what else you have
tried, but here's a couple thoughts:
Disconnect the fuel line from the carb and pump some
fuel into a clear glass container. First, you will see
if the pump can really pump, or if the flow rate is down
for some reason. Second, take a look at the fuel in the
bottle. Is it clear? If you let is stand for a minute
does something start to separate out? This is like the
check
airplane guys do before flying, to prevent those sudden
silences that can be so embarrasing.
Personally, each time I have tried to blame bad gas for
a problem, the cause has eventually been tracked down to
something else.
