Bob,
I would have thought that if I had an ignition problem that it would have 
shown up more gradually.  I realize that the timing would change as the 
points or rubbing block changed, but I figured this would be gradual.  I mean 
it ran perfectly, got gas and then wouldn't run for s_ _ _!  I will 
definitely check the points, timing and dist. cap first.  They are easier 
than checking gas tanks and pulling plugs:-)  I appreciate the suggestions.
