David,
Man if I only knew we could do this maybe I would not have wanted to do the
350. Regardless maybe if I blow up the 350 ..... something about saying I
have a 440 powered anything .... I have just always dealt with Chevys.
The rod/stroke ratio at 1.55 of the 351 based 440 might just be bearable as
a stock 400 Chevy has a ratio of 1.51 and my 5.0 based stroker 350 is 1.58.
Fatso Stealths
Acceleration is a function of weight and HP. Traction aside.
The Dodge Stealth seems a little Overweight at 3970 stock. Even the Hennessy
prepared Turbo one at 4025 lbs that makes a stout 420 HP is handicapped by a
9.58 pound per HP Ratio.
A relatively tame tiger with a 302 HP ( Mild cam, 4 barrel, 10.5:1) engine
in stock configuration at 2900 lbs (Tiger 2 weight) with iron everything has
the same 9.58 pounds per horsepower.
By the way I was doing some math and the Tiger with the 350 stroker, if I
hit the conservative estimate of 425 HP, gives me a 6.8 pounds per HP. If I
adjust for Aluminum heads, intake and wheels and take the stock MK 1-A
weight of 2780 and take off the 150 pounds I assume I have saved I have 6.2
pounds per HP.
The Hennessy Venom Viper only has 7.1 Pounds per HP.
