Some Cobra club had a rally up here in the Mother Lode of California and
they made the local newspaper
.
From the Calaveras Enterprise Tuesday, May 7, 2002
Under the section "Accident Report"
"Murphy's Area
No injuries were reported Sunday, May 5 at 3:15 pm when a 1965 Cobra,
driven by Henry Hauschildt, 50 of Sonora, crashed through a barbed-wire
fence on Six Mile Road.
The CHP said that Hauschildt had attended a car rally at Kurtz Ironstone
vineyards and left the parking lot, proceeding north on Six Mile Road.
He accelerated rapidly and "due to excessive power", skidded across the
northbound lane into the southbound lane and then back again. The car
then left the roadway and hit a dirt berm"
Maybe for Henry there is such a thing as too much power.
In the mother lode, watching out for overpowered cobra's
