The following is from my brother-in law concerning his Miata, but it could
also apply to Tigers too depending on how you soft top is configured!

"Thought I'd share this with you as I got to witness FIRST HAND, just how
bad our education system is; (Remember now, I TEACH high school, and have
for the last 22 years!) Common sense no longer exists, nor does paying
attention, it would seem...

Yesterday I took my Miata in to get the plastic window on my rag top
replaced. I'd purchased the window strip from the "Miata Accessories"
catalog, which saved me big bucks. The dealer was selling it for $359.00,
the catalog for $159.00. I'm old, but I can do the math on this one.

Anyway, I'd made an appointment with "Modern Upholstery." Said they do that
kind of work. Labor will be $200.00. So I figure I'm about $200.00 ahead
in the deal.

At 9am, I'm there, and leave the car. They tell me to pick it up at 2:00.
The anal retentive that I am, I'm there at 2:00 on the button. Top looks
beautiful! Gorgeous! I can actually SEE out of the back window now! (If
you know rag tops, the plastic turns brown after a couple of years. I got
almost 6 out of mine)

Anyway, before driving away, I get this hunch to check and see if the zipper
works for the window itself. (The window un zips so you can let the top
down)
Only I can't find the zipper! The guy, Omar, shows me where it is. I still
can't find it.  It's right here, he points... And sure enough; there it was;
on the OUTSIDE OF THE CAR!

Like I said at the beginning; You've got to be kidding!

Talk about brain dead! Oh, wait. I get it! It's on the OUTSIDE so that if
I lock my keys on the INSIDE, I've a 'secret' way to get in! Hmmmmmm

So guess where I'll be next Saturday morning at 9:00?"
