Tigers and 'Pines,
http://www.TigersUnited.com has been slowly and steadily growing for the
past few years. It has taken the effort of a great many volunteers to
contribute articles, stories, and content.
Some projects were started, and incrementally enlarged as new material
became available for use.
Now, today, right this moment, http://www.TigersUnited.com if FINISHED
with it's seemingly never ending process of releasing the Rootes Sunbeam
"260-289" Workshop Manual.
Yes, it is true. No more incremental releases for the future. It is
over. Finished. Completed.
Thanks to the efforts of a great many contributors, such as Bill Gegg,
Bob Palmer, Rick McLeod, Jay Laifman, Malcolm McDonald, and some
significant effort by Jim Boynton to scan and render to text and JPEG
pictures significant segments of the manual, the last chapter, page,
table, picture, and punctuation mark has been made. Except, of course,
for the innumerable errors of commission and omission, especially
spelling and punctuation, (sure to be caught by Al Johnson (8-))you can
find everything you want.
The layout is EXACTLY like the manual. All Chapters are hot linked from
the main Table of Contents. Every chapter has it's own Table of Contents
hot linked to the pages. Every page, in every section, carries
navigation arrows and tables to get anywhere you are headed. The
contents (mostly) are just as Rootes intended, warts and all. (Well,
your Editor did have a little fun, here and there, for you to find. Like
Easter Eggs.)
The SEARCH engine, reached through the black bar on every page, will
find any topic hot linked everywhere in the Manual, site, and Tiger
Forum. You can even refine a search, amongst a lot of results, to your
exact needs.
Your bill is in the mail!
In case you have never used this site, or this section, it can be easily
found on the left Navigation Bar on every http://www.TigersUnited.com
page, under the topic "Technical Tips", just click on "Factory Manuals"
and your on your way. For the first time, do NOT skip the introductory
pages after the Main table of contents. It is full of interesting
information, technical and otherwise.

Our next project is determining the identity and location of all Rootes,
International Automobiles employees, Sunbeam Tiger racers, etc. as
listed on the bottom of our home page. We are interested in the stories
they have about the period 1963-1967, in conjunction with our
collaborators, STOC-UK (England). You know any? Interview them and write
it up. Get pictures, get the "real" stories. See the bottom of the first
(home) page for details.
Steve (would anybody like this job? Pay is unspeakable, but the "psychic
rewards" are great.
