I think you have made a great start.
Be sure that you have reinforced your cross member,
welded the shock towers, etc. When you go to put in
the new upper ball joint, be sure and weld the mounting
sleeve before you remove the old ball joint. The heat
from the weld can distort the mounting sleeve and
may prevent the new ball joint from going in properly.
The old ball joint keeps everything in place.
You should also check the weld on the panhard rod and
traction bars in the rear.
All you have left to do is perhaps upgrading the brakes.
I have no suggestion other than using Datsun(??) pads
which fit but are longer around. Perhaps other listers
can add their ideas here.
