It has nothing to do with sour grapes or being cheap. For my purposes that
book is a waste, even at its original price. Hence I had no interest in
buying it then or now. Do you really think it's worth having a print out of
all the Tigers every made? The other tidbits in the book are for
historians and concours nuts of which I am neither. I didn't need the book
to restore my car. It's a vanity press affair and no wonder it took forever
to sell originially. Now that people are bidding it up it just shows what
E-bay can do.
Thanks for the invite to the Olympic Club. I've already played it and the
nice courses at Pebble Beach. Unfortunately I don't have any plans to visit
the Bay Area soon. Now if you can swing an invite to Sherwood near LA I'll
fly out for that. Perhaps if your e-mail wasn't so mean spirited, I would
have invited you to play golf at the nice club next to my backyard here in
Florida, but I believe I'll pass.
