Henry, There should be no clearance adjustments made to the slave, as it IS self adjusting for that - providing no one has "adjusted" it, or changed to a clutch that requires a great deal more displacement than the original Long. That is what you need to establish. Perhaps the 2400# McLeod diaphragm needs a good deal more movement to disengage, which would cause greater pedal travel.
