My adhesive is W.W. I 1917 war surplus British Navy spar varnish bought
at a clearance sale in 1932 by Rootes and stored outside until 1965.
That's when they applied it to my car. It is still holding on. And you
know the fine hand craftsmanship that was used in it's application.
Don't know about this new-fangled stuff. Maybe the British Navy still
has some surplus barrels left (drums were too expensive). Wooden ships,
Iron men!
