My Mk1 had a cast iron manifold and Holley 1850 when I bought it. It is set
up for manual choke, vacumn advance and brake booster. I realize it is way
over sized at 650cfm and want to change it. The carb Andy Walker found is
the way I am leaning. My question....the existing carb whistles within a
couple of minutes when warming up and whistles very loudly as the car gets
hot. Can I avoid this with with a more correct carb on this manifold or am I
wasting money? What causes a Holley to whistle under these circumstances?
