I'm installing my new high voltage electronic ignition and coil in the
Tiger tonight (Petronix Ignitor II and Flamethrower coil) and got new
spark plugs (double platinum) to install along with them. They are
pre-gapped at .035 Can I/should I gap them bigger? I've heard you can
go up to .050 with an electronic ignition. Any advantage to the bigger
gap, and any opinions out there?

Thanks!

P.S.....If you start getting any extra drops of oil on the floor, no
matter how "insignificant", check out the source reall well. I thought I
had (tightened up the clamps on the lines at the block that lead to the
remote oil filter) but blew one of the oil lines on Thursday going 70
mph on the Ventura Freeway. (The line cracked under the clamp and the
crack spread down the hose a couple of inches) I first noticed some
smoke in the passenger compartment, thought at first it was something
from the under dash wiring from my new A/C install, felt the wires and
everything was cool, and fortunately looked up at the oil guage just as
the needle was heading to zero. I shut it down, coasted to the side of
the freeway dripping oil like the Exxon Valdez, had it towed and spent
$25 for a replacement hose. A lot cheaper than a blown engine as
everything seems OK.
