Yeah, at 65,000 the Vic gets 22-24MPG on the highway. For 50/50 Hwy/city we
get 18-19MPG. This is with the police package with a 3:31 (approx) rear
end, I expect that the standard models do better.

Regarding those Crown Vic sized monsters (my Mercury Marquis).....I
consistently get 26-27 MPG cruising at 75 MPH on my cross country jaunts.
My 4 cylinder Volvo only gets 26. Now, of course, don't get one of these

things if you just plan to do a lot of city driving. If, however, you want
room for all the kids and about 10 suitcases, get an American V8 and still
