Hi all,
I have had good service and very good prices from Brian Postle in the UK. My
big shipment of parts just arrived yesterday so I will only get it out of
customs next week. I'll let the list know if anything is wrong with the
order but I expect it will be the right stuff.
I should think that the logistics of ordering direct from the UK should not
be that bad. Airfreight should only be a couple of $/kg and maybe UPS has a
good rate? For comparison, here is what I ordered and prices in GBP (x1.45
for US$) see discount at bottom:
water pump #59
soft top 115
bonnet 45
2 rear spring 124
u bolts 18
plates 8
dash pad 88
carpets 85
door glass 35
windscreen 125
poly bushes 76
spring insulaters 15
bump stops 30
"Performance tuning... 18
grill ornaments 119
all rubber seals 231.50
engine mounts 57.76
that adds up to
#1249.26minus17.5%VAT=#1063.20minus7.5%=#983.46 plus wheels=#1311.46. wheels
with carriage are #328 (14x 6 Superlites.)
I also got streering rack gaitors GBP10, cills (rocker panels) GBP32 each,
uprated front springs GBP55 pair.
Brian is the UK tiger club chairman I think. His email is
eyeofthetiger@tinyworld.co.uk
cheers, derek
