Folks,
Happened again, have a nice rock pit in my windshield
complete with a crack fron top to bottom of the windshield.
Have a couple of old windshields in the attic, but they
are well scratched and pitted. Many years ago I tried the
rotary felt polish wheel with cerium oxide, but it didn't
seen to do much in the 1/2 hour I tried it.
So I am looking for ideas.
First a good source of new windshields (that have not split the
laminations around the edge).
Second, a system to polish out bad pitting and scratches.
Third, an alternate windshield and frame that will tilt
back at a much steeper angle than the original Tiger windshield.
Once a long time ago I saw a picture of such a thing on a Tiger
or Alpine located in Australia or somewhere around there.
My (cheap) Tiger insurance does not cover glass.
