Chris,

WOW!.  Since it's a new radiator, and a new filter, you must have a
pretty crudded up block.  Suggest you try a radiator shop with a
Parnelli Jones (or some race driver) power scrubbing back flush on your
block.  It's done in place, and no flow through the cooling system,
although I'd block off the heater connections.
