I've also had good luck with "spray on vinyl and fabric renewer" type
products. I redid my original kick panels (black) maybe 15 years ago, and
they still look fine. My rugs, which want to switch from black to brown
every time the sun hits them, have been restored to black several times. I
just used The Duplicolor version of the product to change some white vinyl
to black. One coat did the job. A sample of this has been sitting outside
in the weather, sun, etc., for about a month, and still looks OK.
