John,
Just happened to have my Tiger II up on jack stands (SS body work).
The Tiger II has the bracket on the driver's side, yours may be on the
passenger's side. The bracket extends down from the frame. The frame
is tapering up at the same point, but as close as I could measure, the
hole is 3/4" down from the frame at the center of the bracket, or in your
case at the center of the two previous weld marks. The 9/16" nut that
retains the
panard rod is therefore below the frame with adequate clearance to get
a tool on it with no problem. Now I must go put a bandaid on my forehead
to stop the bleeding.
