The wife and I went on a short jaunt on Friday (30mi on a 90degree day) and
by the time we reached our destination, the car would not run at low rpm. the
engine wasn't overheating the gauge never went above 85centigrade. When I
opened the hood the carburetor was whistling like a tea kettle. Once the
engine cooled down for a couple of hours the car started right up, idled fine
and the whistling was gone. Drove back the 30 miles and it started again.
What could this be? Has anyone had similar problems? (Holley 1850
carburetor)
Thanks
Steve
