Ignition warning lamp question.

The ignition warning lamp bulb socket on the repo wiring harness I got from
Rick is too big to fit in the warning lamp housing.  The sockets for the
turn signal indicator and the high beam indicator fit fine.  All my warning
lamp housings seem to need the same size bulb sockets so why is the socket
for the ignition warning lamp bigger than the other two????????
