OK,

Some people don't like my horsepower formula:

HP = pi x RPM x Torque (lb-ft)/33,000

Well, they are right!

it should have been:
HP = 2 x pi x RPM x Torque (lb-ft)/ 33,000

What, you may ask, happened between 1 pi and 2 pi in the formula?

I must confess, to one and all, that 35 years ago I must have eaten that other
pi.

So, sue me! The statute of limitations has been passed, my son tells me, for
that misdemeanor. Besides, I am Guilty of too much wordiness.

I should have just said (and have before), that HP is only a function of torque
developed at any rpm, and left it to the student to fill in the details.
Right,
Bob!
