Hi Andy & all....
Well here is the secret, the cap is actually a standard FORD item, the
difference was that the spout was turned at a different angle, but the spout
is on with a press fit flange inside, and all you do is take a screw driver
in the end of the spout, and turn that baby, and GUESS WHAT you have a TIGER
correct LAT item....
These are readily available from Larry's Mustang, Casco TBIRD parts and most
other outlets, most of them have the chrome one, if not, buy the black and
have it chromed, comes out GREAT... well the "TIGER" is now out of the
baggie...And Larry's has many additional hard to find parts as well, they
have the correct spark plug wires, the correct cap for the distributor as
well, Casco, has the reproduction 100% correct Rectumfier that everyone
wants, with the correct stamping and all, also the hard to find transmission
back up light switch and bracket.
I have plenty of other sources for parts out there as well, that interchange
over, and if you want I will post as I remember and browse my notes..
Like a correct 13# rad cap ?? CHEAP... etc...
GO GIT' EM'
And DO NOT forget to watch, My Classic Car over this weekend, as they are
re-running the special with our late friend; Bo Cheadle with him on the
track in His Battle Bird, the only one to survive.
Happy Spring Trails ahead !!!
Warm Regards to all, Jan Harde....
