I'm pulling the 302/top loader on my MK1 in a week or so. Mark: If I remember correctly, the factory shop manual states that the axle centers must be 2 feet off the floor and the lifting tackle must be capable of 9 feet of lift. Daunting. Your H pipe will have to be cut, as the tranny drops quickly as the engine rotates to near vertical. Bob Melusky Anyone have a source for new rear springs? Low sure looks great, but it is a nuisance in the world of frost heaves. |
