Besides, as I sit at my computer I gaze upon a framed and autographed Sunbeam
Tiger magazine ad from October of 1964...Ad features ol' Shelby hisself
seated in a Tiger, quoted as saying, "You don't start it-you unleash it!" I
always loved that line. He was involved at the outset-but Ford didn't want
him to spend his time boosting a competitor's product...Rootes thought enough
to pay him a royalty on every Tiger built, and Shelby thought enough of the
Tiger that he didn't sell his own Tiger, when he liquidated a lot of his car
collection for charity several years ago.
