I have recently picked up a spare crossmember that I am going to rebuild
and the first step is the reinforcment. The questions to those that have
had this done or done their own reinforcement are;
1. What method did you use and did you have any problems during the
reinforcement or afterwards?
2. If someone else did your work, who performed it and how has it worked
out? I am aware of Smitty, Tom Hall, and Larry Marsh doing or having
done this in the past, but am unsure who is still doing it.
If anyone has tried different approaches, I would like to hear if there
was any differences from a reliability and handling perspective. The end
application of the car may be vintage racing so thoughts from those who
are (or have been) racing would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jay Peterson
