Jeff,
Being an old Oregonian who is transplanted in San Diego, I can honestly say
that Medford is a very nice place. Unlike down here you get four changes of
season. It can snow in the winter and can be very foggy in the Spring and
Fall. Ton's of people retire to Medford because the fishing is pretty good,
weather not too bad and cost of living pretty tolerable. One word of
caution however:
Get Oregon plates on your cars BEFORE you move up there. Maybe things have
changed by now, but years ago, California license plates identified the
driver as an approved target. Oregonians don't change much, and they
probably still don't much care for Californicators. Medford had a REAL
problem with California based General Building Contractors years ago. Word
is that some of the locals "ameliorated" the problem. When they recognize
your accent, be quick.....lie and say you just relocated from Portland or
Beaverton :)
Jealous Regards,
Allan

I am contemplating a career move to Oregon, Medford to be exact. Any input
about what life is like in that part of the world would be greatly
appreciated. Also, is this a good home for a Tiger. My baby is non commital
on the issue.
Thanks,
The Tigerman
