Quick Release Seat Fasteners
Found them in Jeg's latest free catalog, on page 170V (800-345-4545)
They show both the Moroso brand, and their own label . As I recall (please
measure) they were 5/16 diameter and about 2" long (vs the 1" next smallest).
These Quick Release Pins are rated at 12,160 lbs. shear load capability, and
come
with a nice "T" handle, ring (for mounting that "Remove Before Flight" flag),
the
release button and the retracting balls.
The Jeg's number is 550-40440 and are $7.99 each. The identical appearing
Moroso
(any bets?) is 710-980400 fir 1" and 710-90404 for 3", at $21.99/PAIR and
$30.99/PAIR, respectively. Don't list a 2", but I am sure they make one. Same
load capacity.
Now if anyone is going to exceed 24,320 lbs. shear/seat - don't use them. In
fact, don't get in the Tiger, the tires won't take it. {9->
