(1) Balance your tires (front and rear). Usually
any good tire shop will dynamically balance
your tire for about $7.50 a wheel. With LAT-9's
like I have, I go to an old shop that has a strobe
light balancer and have them spun on the car.
Personally I believe that is the best way. But
others feel differently. Indy and NASCAR tires
are all dynamically balanced off the car.
(2) Better yet, replace the things. After 13 years
tire technology is light years ahead.
(3) Broken belt or separated ply in a tire.
(4) Possible loose wheel bearing.
In the days of yore, 95% of the time a shimmy at
60 meant tire balance.
