Hi Dave:
As I always suggest when a Tiger seems to be running too cool: Could
it be that your temperature sensor is failing? I got fooled by this
in my early years of ownership. What temperature is your thermostat?
Does the gauge maintain something around this temperature under ideal
cooling conditions, such as cool weather or rain? As the car warms up,
the temp should come up to the thermostat temp and pause there, before
heading further up. When my sensor was failing, the car started
running cooler and cooler, even on hot sunny days at noon. Then I
began to notice that my hot toes and the gauge were contradicting each
other..... See my tech tip in the Survivor, or on Mark's Tiger page.
