* Fellow Tiger owners:
* Earlier I had mentioned the difficulty in finding
* brush-on, as opposed to spray, undercoating for the Garage
* Queen. All of the leads I had been given dried up, and I
* wasn't ready to concoct my own undercoating from bat guano
* and jet fuel, or whatever it was.
* So I hit the Web. Found a few hits, e-mailed a few,
* most came back as unable to sell retail or ship UPS due to
* flammability issues. Then I got a call from Dominon Sure-Seal
* in Canada, who tried to hook me up with a local distributor
* of their product (I was in a hurry to get some). That didn't
* work out, so they shipped directly from their warehouse, and
* I got it today (four business days later). Item BUR (Brush-on
* Undercoat, Rubberized?), quart cans with a screw-off top,
* must be OK for old sports cars because there's a picture of a
* DeTomaso Vallelunga on the can. Well, sorta. It was suggested
* that two quarts would suffice, and price was $7.28 (US? CAN?)
* each. I spoke to Tim Dewer and Karen Allridge there, phone
* 602-975-9640, although the refrigerator magnet included also
* mentions 800-933-9274. E-mail address is 'info@dominionsureseal.com'.
* Tim and Karen said they could handle orders from
* non-commercial customers, and they included in the box a
* catalog of their line of autobody and refinishing supplies;
* for instance, I recall a recent reference to the rope-type
* caulk stuck in body seams, they have what looks like the same thing.
* As soon as I apply some to the car, I'll report back on
* how it works out.
